Course Overview
Muitas empresas e instituições recolhem e analisam dados de diferentes fontes de forma rotineira.
Geralmente, porém, as estatísticas descritivas baseiam-se numa amostra de uma população. Tais estatísticas não podem ser utilizadas para fazer generalizações ou inferências sobre a população sem análises ou testes adicionais.
Neste curso, iremos estudar as principais medidas de estatística descritiva.
Aprenderemos como testar hipóteses. Aprenderemos como testar se uma média é significativamente diferente de um valor especificado. Além disso, aprenderemos como testar se a diferença entre duas médias de amostras independentes extraídas de duas populações é estatisticamente significativa. Aprenderemos também, entre outros tópicos, a testar se diferenças em percentagens são estatisticamente significativas usando o teste de qui-quadrado de Pearson.

Pré-requisito: conhecimentos de estatística elementar.
